STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE IN:

a)     The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead
b)    The sovereignity of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement
c)    The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given and it's supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct
d)    The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation
e)    The full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, the Virgin Birth and His real and sinless humanity, His death on the Cross, His Bodily Resurrection and His present reign in heaven and on earth
f)    Redemption from the guilt penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death once and for all time of our representative and substitute Jesus Christ the only Mediator between God and man
g)    Justification of God's Act or underserved mercy in which the sinner is pardoned all his sins and accepted as righteous in God's sight only because of the righteousness of Christ imputed to him the justification being received by faith alone
h)    The need for the Holy Spirit to make the work of Christ effective to the individual sinner granting him repentance towards God and faith in jesus Christ
i)    The in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit in all those thus regenerated, producing in them an increasing likeness to Christ in character and behaviour and empowering them for their witness in the world
j)    The one Holy Universal Church which is the Body of Christ and to which all true believers belong
k)    The future personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ who will judge all men executing God's just condemnation on the impenitent and receiving the redeemed to eternal glory
l)    Water Baptism which is an ordinance of the Church symbolizing to the world that one has died with Jesus and has also been raised with Him in resurrection power to walk in newness of life (Mt 28:19, Acts 10:47-48, symbolizing Rom 6:4-11, Eph 2:6)
m)    The Lord's Supper which is an ordinance of the Church symbolizing the broken Body and    the shed Blood of Jesus Christ as the New Covenant between God and      Man (1Cor 11:24,25&28)
n)    The evidence of the Infilling of the Holy Spirit which is the Promise of the Father may include the physical sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance  and will result in the manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service after the new birth (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:42-43; Acts 19:2,6; Mt 3:11;   1Cor 12:7-11)
o)    The equality of all members of the Church before God, meaning that men, women and children may minister thew grace of God to one another (Gal 3:28, Mt19:14; Rom 12:4-6) notwithstanding the different gifts icluding leadership, that will be exercised by different members of the Church (1Cor 12:27-31)
